'Necessity is the mother of invention'
The unique shape of this guest house is born out of the desire to capture solar power amidst tight lot line constraints and a surrounding area of tall forest.

Nonetheless, this architectural statement piece is not only a functional guest house, work shop, and pool area lounge, but also an energy production and storage facility for the entire property. Critical electrical loads from the main house and guest house are all linked in to the solar and battery backup system so no creature comforts are sacrificed in a grid outage event- all without the nuisance of a noisy generator.
